Sue Ruston

Sue is an expert in building personal brand through appearance and presentation, allowing individuals to represent their own goals and those of their company effectively. She is also highly skilled in defining and aligning corporate brand image to maximise its impact.

Unlike most image consultants, Sue is professionally trained to the industry standard set down by the Federation of Image Consultants.

Image is a key part of the jigsaw that makes sure you are picked above someone else in the world of business. If there are two baked bean cans on a shelf people will inevitably pick the tin that isn't dented - this is an analogy Sue believes is directly applicable to corporate life.

People associate our packaging with our ability. Sue is an expert in helping you create a personal or corporate brand that will convince people you are the best person or company for the job in an overcrowded and competitive market.

Sue has been an image consultant for four years. Prior to this she worked at Tesco for seven years, where, among other things, she implemented a culture change programme. Sue's experience - a combination of senior management, commercial, customer service, image and impact skills delivered in highly competitive companies - makes her unique in her field. Everything she does is grounded in commercial reality.

Sue's style is genuine, empowering, energetic and fun, with a clear focus on delivering results. She has carried out personal impact workshop for teams, individual employee and executive image coaching and graduate and management programmes in both the public and private sector. She also gives redundancy and outplacement advice as well as uniform and dress code advice.

Past and present clients include Tesco, KPMG, Ceridian Centrefile, NHS, Marks and Spencer, JP Morgan, Hewitts, CMPS, Warner Bros, CIPD, Royal London Asset Management, a leading pharmaceuticals co, and Solice (local govt CEOs).

Coaching in Sue's own words:

"This is a very sensitive subject. You need to be able to quickly engage and build rapport with people. I know how to tackle sensitive issues in a straight forward way that people find easy to receive. It's about helping people feel comfortable and empowering them with belief and knowledge."

Leadership vs Management

Leadership defines the culture of the organisation. Management instils the culture in the organisation.
