Shelagh Smith

Shelagh has been a full-time executive coach since 2002, her areas of specialist knowledge include delivery of business goals, strategic focus, developing personal behavioural and career transitions, as well as strategic HR delivery.

She also coached staff for many years during her career in corporate HR and Development. She has coached at all levels, from first level line managers to CEO's at numerous public and private sector organisations.

Recent and current clients include:

  • The MD of Bison Concrete Products Ltd
  • Three senior directors at an electronic communications organisation (two of whom are on the EMEA Board),
  • The founder/owner of a Management Consultancy (with a turnover of £2m)
  • HR Director of a large taxi company
  • Head of HR and Head of Health and Safety for a large London Borough
  • The Head of Compensation & Benefits at a leading Transport company

Shelagh is trained in multiple coaching tools such as Myers Briggs Type Indicator, the Hogan Inventory, the Strength Deployment Inventory, Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Questionnaire and 360 degree feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
  • MA in Organisational Analysis and Behaviour, Lancaster University Business School
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring, Oxford Brookes University
  • Currently working towards accreditation with the Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS)

It needs to be positive, insightful and forward looking in order to influence, stimulate and bring out innovate ideas from the individual.
