Ann Knights

Ann is an Executive Coach at Performance Coaching International and a Business Director with Ashridge Consulting. She joined PCI in 2004 following 10 years at Andersen and then Deloitte where she was a lead member of the Leadership and Management Development practice.

Her particular focus is on working with clients to achieve high levels of personal and organisational performance. This has included executive coaching, the design and delivery of leadership and management development programmes, group facilitation and the design of processes and activities to catalyse and support improved performance.

Typically Ann has worked with organisations undergoing significant change to their businesses - changes in workforce, organisation structure, culture, ownership or market position - working with leaders and influencers to develop their capacity to lead and support change.

Ann has worked with a range of clients across the private and public sectors. Clients have included Global Marine, Deutche Bank, Schroders, Cable and Wireless, BHP Billiton, the FSA, London Underground, Transport for London, British Telecommunications, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Department for Work and Pensions and DEFRA.

Qualifications:

  • BA (Hons) in Modern Languages
  • MSc in Organisation Consulting 1999. Ann has completed the Ashridge Coaching Programme.
  • Ashridge Accredited coach process.
  • BPS level A and B qualified.
  • Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
  • Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
  • Ann is conversationally fluent in French, and has a very good working knowledge of German and Spanish.

Coaching in Ann's own words:

"I believe that the role of the coach is to help clients to be more of the best of what they are. This means, more often than not, asking insightful questions, rather than providing clever solutions. It means, as a coach, providing the space and the conditions for insight, experiment and learning and then the confidence to act."

Coaching and relationships

The saying ‘Relationships are the container everything else fits into’ certainly applies to a coach and coachee relationship.
