Coaching in Mikes own words
‘I’m not a purist about coaching. My intention always is for the client to get whatever he or she is looking to get from it. Fortunately, I have the experience and the tools to be flexible and responsive enough to make that happen. If the client wants to make a big decision in two hours, then I’ll make sure she can. If she wants to use a particular session to stimulate new thinking, then I’ll ensure she gets stimulating new thinking. If a client wants to think through a strategy to manage a challenging person or situation, then I’ll assist the client to do just that.’
